Permlastic is a popular brand of polysulfide impression material that comes in three different viscosities: heavy-bodied, medium-bodied, and light-bodied. The heavy-bodied version of Permlastic is designed for use when a stiffer material is required, resulting in optimum compression of the light-bodied material in a double-mix, copper-band impression.
Polysulfide impression material has a rubber-like consistency that is easy to work with and delivers excellent results. The material is easy to mix, and its viscosity allows it to flow smoothly into all the nooks and crannies of the oral cavity, ensuring a highly accurate impression. Polysulfide impression material is also highly tear-resistant, making it ideal for taking impressions of areas that are difficult to reach or where there is a risk of distortion.
